Prescription Drug Warning Notice
We received a warning notice this week about the antiepileptic drug, POTIGA (ezogabine).
The warning involves the potential for the drug to cause retinal abnormalities which can lead to vision loss.
The makers of POTIGA, GlaxoSmithKline, recommend anyone taking POTIGA to have a baseline and periodic (every 6 months) dilated eye exam, retinal photographs and a visual field evaluation. For more information on the potential visual effects of POTIGA, please call our office.
