Regular examinations with our expert team of doctors are necessary for checking overall eye health and looking for early warning signs of disease. River Valley Eye Professionals offers an array of eye care services that are designed to provide our patients with the best possible treatment.
Comprehensive Eye and Vision Examinations
These are complete medical eye exams analyzing:
- The health of the various tissues of the eye such as the lids, lashes, conjunctiva, cornea, lens, vitreous and retina.
- The function of the various parts of the eye. Do you blink properly? Are the muscles of the eye working to move the eyes as a team and in all directions? Can you focus properly at distance and near? Are you color blind? How is your depth perception?
- The presence of any abnormalities, diseases, infections or inflammations, such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration or pink eye.
These examinations will also determine if you are nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism or need bifocals. The staff at River Valley Optical can fit you for glasses or contact lenses and also determine if you are a good candidate for refractive surgery. Contact our clinic today to schedule your next exam!
